Coordination between the 3 Exploratory Research Projects dealing with ATM Performance.

Following the SJU proposal of setting a new collaboration between the three Exploratory Research Projects dealing with “ATM Performance”, APACHE, AURORA and INTUIT have agreed to start the collaboration, with the objective of setting a common forum to share latest research around the topic thus giving added value to research community.

  • INTUIT project (Interactive Toolset for Understanding Trade-offs in ATM Performance) explores ATM Performance (see for further information about the project) and also develops new decision support tools for ATM performance management. The main goal of the project is to identify cause-effect relationships between KPIs and to explore potential of visual analytics, machine learning and system modeling to improve understanding of the trade-offs between KPAs.
  • APACHE project (Assessment of Performance in current ATM operations and of new Concepts of operations for its Holistic Enhancement) which is also exploring ATM Performance (see for further information about the project), is developing enhanced and new metrics to assess current and future SESAR ConOps. In addition, they are developing performance assessment tools based on simulation and optimization.
